Spider Leaguez is operated by Zane Willoughby. This policy explains how information is handled when you use our app, website, or contact support.

Information we collect

• Account information, including your email address, user identifier, display name, and optional profile photo. Authentication is managed through Supabase.
• Spider photos you submit, information you provide with a submission, identification results, and sighting records.
• League membership, scores, rankings, and related game activity.
• Support messages and information you choose to include in them.
• Technical information used to operate and protect the service, such as request times, errors, and usage counts. Hosting and service providers may also process IP addresses and connection logs.

How we use information

We use information to manage accounts, identify spider photos, maintain your Spiderdex, operate leagues and leaderboards, respond to support requests, enforce usage limits, and prevent misuse.

AI identification and Google

Spider photos submitted for identification and accompanying identification context are sent to Google's Gemini API. Spider Leaguez currently uses the unpaid service. Google uses submitted content and generated responses to improve its products and machine-learning technologies, and human reviewers may process this content.

Do not include people, personal documents, addresses, or other sensitive, confidential, or personal information in identification photos or accompanying text.

Service providers and sharing

Supabase provides authentication, database, and photo storage services. Google provides AI identification. Resend delivers account emails. Cloudflare hosts this website and routes support emails to our email provider.

Your display name, profile photo, shared finds, and scores may be visible to other members of leagues you join. Avoid sharing information you do not want league members to see.

Information may also be disclosed when necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect the service and its users.

Storage and retention

Account information and saved sightings are stored to provide your account and Spiderdex. A monthly season reset does not delete your collection. Operational records may be retained for security, troubleshooting, and usage-limit enforcement. Service providers apply their own backup and retention practices, and information may be processed outside your country.

Your choices and requests

You can control camera and photo permissions through your device settings. You can contact support@spiderleaguez.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your information. We may verify account ownership. Some information may need to be retained for legal or security reasons; backup copies may remain until removed through provider retention processes.

Deleting your app account does not necessarily remove content already processed by Google under its separate terms.

This website

These support and privacy pages do not include advertising or analytics scripts. Cloudflare may process technical connection information to deliver and secure the website. Emailing support shares your email address and message with us and the email providers involved.

Security

We use access controls and encrypted connections to help protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
